Entities
These tend to be real world objects that are represented in the software, so that information about them can be stored and procedures carried out on them. An example of an entity is a Customer.
Procedures
These are tasks that are performed and move you forward in the weekly processing cycle. Printing a Loading Schedule is a procedure.
Modules
Modules are a group of procedures and sometimes entities that when combined give extra functionality to the basic system. “Group Accounts” is an example module, a group account is an entity such as a Companies Head Office or a Local Authority that has a number of delivery points (which are Customers).
